Rita Spalding
Oil on Canvas
24"x36
I am showing paintings by Rita Spalding, now at Eye On Art.
Rita's approach to painting is fairly traditional in terms of subject and medium, but hardly pure representational. Her joy in painting is creating quiet, poetic paintings with deep, rich colors, compelling subject matter, and concise elegant compositions.
Ryan Lane
The current paintings by Ryan incorporate many of the same tools and
materials used in the furniture making process and give his paintings a very
unique texture and depth. The paintings have both spontaneous and craftsmen
like qualities which give his work a undeniable vibrancy.
Artist Statement;
"I am interested in painting horizons or borders and hope to
capture the mystery of an approaching event. Whether the impression is
foreboding or optimistic is entirely to be determined by the viewer."
