I am pleased to add the unique sculpture of Mark Beltchenko. Mark has created commissioned works for churches, corporations, casinos, libraries and municipalities in addition to producing his own bodies of work. He has participated in visiting artist programs and workshops.
His 2 works in the gallery combine the natural forms of carved limestone and steel implants. The smooth, almost pillowy, carved limestone is supported or almost cradled by steel structures that seem threatening and yet provocative.
